What experience and qualifications do you have?
I have helped organize a team for the 48 hour film festival. I have had a some experience having a volunteer leadership role for local high schoolers in my area. I also designed and marketed for the local non-profits I have worked for and volunteered at. Participated in organizing art gallery openings in order to extend knowledge of modern art to the general public and support the work of local artists.
What is your platform? What do you hope to accomplish if you win?
Encourage the student body to be more involved in the UMBC community by gathering student feedback on what they think will improve the campus and academic life. Make proposals available for students to vote on prior to putting them into action.
What I really want students to know about me is….
I'm a graphic design major from the visual arts program here at UMBC! I'm very down to earth and like to finish things once i've started them! I'm a big animal person and spend a lot of my time volunteering at a local rescue that helps feral cats. I also believe in helping those in need however way you can. If you don't have money you can still donate blood!! I also use my skill set gained while here at UMBC to help non-profits by designing their marketing campaigns!! Together with me and my running-mate we will make sure that our objectives for office get done!
Platform Summary:
- Extend book buyback time and increase amount paid for used books.
- Offer an English Master's Program.
- Increase options for printing on campus that are comparable to a professional print center, but still offer student pricing.
